Unveiling the New EazyPop Microwave Popcorn TriplePack!
Kohlico has been a long-term exhibitor at The International Food Exhibition (IFE), the largest food and drink exhibition in the UK. In a matter of reinforcing its position as one of the leading FMCG companies in the UK, Kohlico’s participation in IFE 2003 displayed branded soft drinks distribution along with the Ko-Lee brand of instant noodles and EazyPop microwave popcorn. As a leading wholesale supplier across the UK, the company exhibited various products.
During IFE 2001, Kohlico launched a company owned brand of microwave popcorn called “EazyPop”. Today, two years down the line, the popular product, available in four flavours, has become one of the market leaders in that segment.
At IFE 2003, expanding on the product line-up of EazyPop, Kohlico unveiled an exciting new product, ‘EazyPop Triple Pack’. With the launch of the ‘EazyPop Triple Pack’ (comes in an original designed box containing 3 packs of 100 grams each), the company is consolidating its hold on a variety of market segments. The Triple Pack is also available in three flavours butter, salted and sweet, and is packed in an American-like outer box, in lots of 12.
This new product is being manufactured in Spain by LIVEN Group (they are certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and follow the Quality System HACCP). The manufacturer guarantees that the microwavable popcorn is obtained from carefully selected corn, high stability vegetable fats, salt and/or flavours. On the whole, it upholds the highest standards to please the most demanding customer. A Classic Noodle meal for 39p !
Kaval had always had a taste for noodles, probably due to the influence of growing up in a family that is involved in the import and export of a wide variety of diverse foodstuffs from around the world. They wanted to make instant noodles easily available on the high street and when they had finished their education they set up their own company, dedicated to finding the best exotic products, and introducing them to the British public.
This brother and sister team wanted to supply a high standard product that would be consistent in terms of quality and authentic taste. Using Korean “know how” and the finest European raw material, Ko-Lee Instant Noodles are manufactured in Hungary.
Ko-Lee Instant Noodles have been available for 6 months and little did Kaval realise how busy they would be dealing with all the new orders. “We are so busy that we find ourselves snacking on our own noodles in the office, ” says “ It’s good that we have so many varieties.”
Additional members have been recruited to the sales and Marketing team to help cope with the rapid demand. “Noodles are suddenly fashionable, there are smart noodle restaurants and even noodle bars at the cinema, however our products are inexpensive and will become “classic”. Instant noodles are quick, easy and nutritious, perfect for the working mum or the busy person who does not have time to cook.
